Refund policy

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase – whether it's a t-shirt, a product, or a plant! 

Here's how we handle returns and refunds when things aren't quite right.


Live Plants Policy

Because live plants are, well, alive, they need a slightly different approach.

If your plant arrives damaged, unhealthy, or not as described – please get in touch with us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Send us an email at support@bloomandbuild.nz with your order number and a clear photo of the plant and packaging.

  • We’ll assess the issue and, if the plant hasn’t arrived in good condition, we’ll either replace it, offer a credit, or provide a refund.

It's important to note;

  • We don’t accept returns for change of mind on live plants, as they’re perishable and sensitive to being handled multiple times.

  • It’s your responsibility to unpack and water your plant promptly after arrival and follow our care instructions. Delays in opening your parcel or improper care may affect your eligibility for a refund.


Change of Mind (Non-Plant Items)

If you change your mind about a non-living product, no worries – you can return it within 14 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition

  • You’ll need proof of purchase (your order confirmation email is ideal)

  • Return shipping costs are your responsibility


Faulty or Damaged Items (Non-Plant Products)

If something arrives broken, or faulty;

  • Please let us know within 7 days

  • Email hello@bloomandbuild.nz with your order number and photos of the issue

  • We’ll sort it out with a refund, replacement, or credit – and we’ll cover return shipping if needed.


Exchanges

If you'd like to swap a (non plant) product, simply return it as per the "change of mind" policy and place a new order for the item you'd like instead.


Processing Time

Once we receive your return, please allow up to 7 working days for processing. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
